I used to be an owner Op years ago. I used to run a lot of East coast and North East (Because I lived there) when I was O/O. I left trucking for a few years and then got back into it. Now I'm located in Iowa, running mostly Midwest freight.

My questions are: If I buy another truck, what are the best companies to lease to in the Midwest? Who are the best brokers to have in the Midwest. What's the best type of fright to run out here?

When I was O/O before, I ran a lot of flatbed & tanker. I've also done, reefer, dry van, low boy, step deck, landoll, container & some oversize.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The best type if freight is the type you enjoy hauling. Dont let anyone tell you different. With very few exceptions. You can make just as much hauling one kind of freight as the others. It all depends on who you haul for and what your willing to do.

The only thing I'm not a fan of hauling is reefer. I'm not a fan of grocery warehouses.
