So was told I can come back to Schneider with my truck that does not have accident mitigation system. At least till 2022. Received letter that was required by 2018 and went to Interstate Freedom board. I am now going back to Schneider. My reasons are simple. Freight, and Pay. Interstate has a great culture, but the freight is not there and most loads are grocery loads that pay around a dollar a mile. Compared freight and Schneider has freight 5 to 1 compared to Interstate. Don't get me wrong.... you can make money at Interstate, but you will work a LOT harder for it. I know a lot of people complain about Schneider rates, but I have compared both personally. Schneider rates are better. I guess I will see what happens over next few years, but if Schneider doesn't change too much I actually will think about trading my truck in ( with a dealer ) and getting something with the VEC, Bendix, or Detroit Assurance system. NO Ongaurd. Both companies have treated me well and I have no issues with either. It comes down to dollars and time. I really don't like being limited to running CA, OR , and WA. With Schneider I am not limited.
Going back to Schneider with my truck that does not have AMC till 2022 Leaving Interstate

Schneider sucks!!!!
milehunter43, moosc, cityboy21 and 3 others Thank this. -
I made money with them. Its either go back there or Landstar. Its more convenient to go back then to start from scratch at Landstar. I just know that Schneider pays and has a lot more freight than Interstate.Last edited: Apr 15, 2017

That's strange I was a company driver at interstate and they were great to me plus I never sat waiting for freight. A buddy of mine owns a small carrier and he was on there power only program and he also liked them and said they had great freight and great rates. Maybe they are changing because that big company bought them ? Idk

SIN has changed quite a bit since you left. Just look at the SNI forum.
moosc Thanks this. -

Interstate isn't bad, but freight is not as good imo. Other than that I think it's a good company. Freedom board can't compete with choice board. Maybe that will change, but it's still to new.

From my understanding if you currently are not leased to sni your truck will be required to have cms before you bring your truck over. The extended date was more for current oo leased to sni with older equipment.

They changed it and are currently taking on trucks without the system with the understanding that it is needed by 2022. I start back on monday.
