Spent my 10hr break at the shipper. Made to the TA in Florence,KY. Took a shower and washed my clothes (I hate doing laundry)

Found out today from my FM why I need to go to Murray. They are retiring my truck (I'm going to miss her). It i a 2011 Prostar single bunk and it has a Cummings engine that pulls well and no DEF it has a DPF system.

Also got a message that I have to pay have of the over weight ticket. I am going to try and get CAT scale to reimburse me.

Well sitting in Murray. Went through the inspection lane and the tech said do you know you have a flat drive tire? I said no and he showed me how he could tell it was flat. I showed him where there was oil dripping from my drivers side air bag and he told me that is from the air compressor seal going bad. So they will have some things to fix. Also the trailer had a problem.

I dropped the trailer in the OOS line up and went over to truck assignments to see if they had a truck for me. Well of course they didn't, he said come back Monday at 1000. Great a weekend sitting here. Oh well what ya going to do.

They want to retire all the Cummings engines due to the poor fuel mileage.

Finally got my newer truck. It's a 2012 Prostar+. It rides so much better than my old one. It has 238K miles, It sure does shift a lot easier too. The one drawback is its slower 62 on the pedal and 64 on the cruise.

After getting the truck and all moved in. I set my PTA for 0400. they sent me a PP that picked up that night. I said I am too tired. Trey said I could pick it up at 0400. It is right next door the Pella window factory.

Got up and out at 0400. bobtailed over to pick up my loaded trailer and head to Memphis with 2 stops. The first one was a very small place in a strip mall, had to back in from the street. The second one was in a Distribution center. They took forever to get unloaded.

Got my next PP. Picking up in Memphis and going to Canton, OH. They took forever to get me loaded.

I hate days I spend 7 hours getting unloaded/loaded and only can drive for 4 hours.

Time for my 10. I'm at a TA and just had a nice hot shower.

    Later everyone.

When I started out yesterday morning I got a message that the trailer I had need a DOT inspection. So they sent me to a Bosselman's shop. it took them 4 hrs to get me in and 15min to do the inspection. I really hate wasting my day on stuff like this. Stopped for the night at a rest area about 160 miles from my delivery.

This morning got to my delivery about 45 min early. Got a door right away. I was unloaded in 15 min. This was a Sam's club DC. Even the lady at the shipping office was surprised at how quickly they wer down but had to wait on the paperwork.

Go my next PP, picks up about 36 miles away and delivers to Jupiter, FL. An 1100 mile run only problem is it does not deliver till Monday at 17:30 and it's a Walgreen's DC. The drive to the pickup was interesting, 36 miles of 2 lane back roads of Ohio.

Sitting at the Love's in Ripley, WV after fueling for my 10. Figured why rush.

    That's it for today.

Oh I just talked to CAT scale the are paying for the fine $703.:biggrin_255:

Made it to my last fuel stop. I'm about 48 miles from my delivery in Jupiter, FL. But I can't deliver for 28 hours. I really hate sitting around.

Edit: See you are going to Walgreens. Have fun. Last time I was there, it took about three hours to off load cause it was a live off load.
