Going back trucking with PTL

Got out of Brownsville about 0430. After calling and confirm on the QC that they should take this load off me they finally agreed. So I took it to the Irving, TX drop lot.

I am sitting in a truck stop in Irving. I had to pay to park $12 what a rip off. I could have went to a Love's about 25 miles away but did not think I would find a place to park even though I am BT.

Now the problem is getting home by the 10th. I am 11 hours away from there and I will only have 12.5 hours on my 70 clock. I will talk to my FM when he gets in in the morning.

 

Well I might make it home on the 10th after all if this shipper will get me loaded. I got a PP picking up in Sunnyvale, TX and delivering in Birmingham, AL on 6/10 at 12:05.

After sitting at that po dunk TS last night I got up to a fleet message that my FM is on vacation so bear with us. Not good news for me. I send in a message asking what's up and they say they are working on it. I decide to go to a TA 20 miles away for a shower and lunch. I get there and they want to charge to park. So I park in front of the fuel isle with 4 other trucks. After about 2 hours a guard said I had to move. I go into the parking area as the first 2 hours are free. I am BT and have to go back to the drop lot to get an MT. when I get there the one assigned is not there so I have to ask can I take one that is there. They say yes and here I am after dropping the MT in back now sitting under a different trailer waiting to be loaded. Pickup time was 1400 and it's 1425 now and no red light on the door.

 

Finally got loaded yesterday after 3 hours. Dove to a LA welcome center for the night.

Got up after 8 hrs and thought I could make my delivery on time as well as make it home. Wrong on both counts. I hit traffic on I20 in LA do to a tree branch falling across the highway. I was stuck there for 1 hr. Next I get almost to Tuscaloosa and another backup. Got the delivery an hour late. But now I do no have any time to go home only 39 mins left till tomorrow. I am 100 miles from home. Oh well the receiver said I could sit in his dock till the morning.

 

Yes but they limit it to 30 minutes and you can't use it if you have a trailer only BT. I used it 2 days ago.

 

Commitment for what?

 

I'm home for 6 days. 1 day late because I ran out of hours last night but this means I go back out 1 day later.

 

Still on hometime but decided to take the trailer I have to a repair shop so I don't have to worry about it tomorrow when I am done with hometime. Unfortunately I had to drive 50 miles there and back to take it to the shop. That was the closet place the road maint had. It should be done in the morning I hope.
