was in Boston last week unloaded late at night only thing I could find around there was 2.25 a mile to indy but I have done that one before and was slow loading and unloading and was hazmat , took an easy load out of NE Pennsylvania at 3.35 a mile going to ohio and home ..... I didn't do the math to see which was the better load but I knew my hours came back at 4 am and I could get out of Boston before they wake up and beat the traffic in Boston and Hartford. .... that's a no Brainer for me lol usually don't go to that area but payed 6.00 a mile from ohio and couldn't pass it up . I do dry van and haven't done flat for a long time and I just don't like to sit and have no patience with people taking hours to unload or load ( in wrong buisness lol ) but my truck is paid for and house ect so no big bills so it's easier for me to get mad and take off to a better area ...... last winter was in Florida and load to ohio payed 1200 took a load from north Carolina that paid 1500 to same area ... was 500 mIle deadhead but was going to drive by it anyway. ... I try to keep deadhead to a minimum but sometimes it pays if not in money but in mental health
Going from one truck to two and the what ifs?
