Going Over the Road with Knight

Heading to a McLane in Wisconsin to deliver and supposedly I will reload nearby to Carthage, MO. This one came out of Joplin.

 

I went to a cave east of Kansas city once. It was a huge maze in there and the docks were super tight. If you missed your turn you had to circle all the way around and start over.

 

Some are tight. There is one in Fayetteville at zero mountain that isn't nearly as bad. You have to watch the top of the trailer. The one in east of Kansas city is tricky. Coming out I thought I had it but the top of the trailer almost clipped a rock sticking out. I had to back up a little to swing around it.
Parked at my delivery now then its green bay to Kansas city tomorrow. Using my scan gauge I got 7.2 mpg for this load at 77000lbs. Using the boost gauge seems to help with MPG. I am above 7 again for the quarter. Hoping to keep it there.

 

I was parked eating dinner and a car came by hitting my fender leaving black paint on it. Dude was creeping along so I ran to where his car came to a rest on the curb and he was passed out. He had a blown tire and a severely damaged rim too. I shook him awake and he was obviously severely impaired. I took his wallet and insurance card from him to write down info as he couldn't speak very well and called the cops. He was arrested on the scene. Crazy!

Over at the KC shop to have 3 trailer tires replaced. Had some really bad wear patterns and one was totally bald on the inside two inches of the tire.
I have 2 preplans on me to bounce me to springdale. One of them has me going down some "pig trails" to get to russellville so it should be interesting.
