For my 5 yrs driving Knight Express, that was S.O.P. for both 'inherited' tractors as well as MT trailers! I've got horror stories (and PTSD) !!

I kept bothering the guy in Atlanta and he called me to grab a dedicated load one of the guys fell off of. Short 250 mile run but it pays me 220 bucks plus 2 stop pays and the deadhead miles to get it will pay me mileage. I just made some dough this weekend. The squeaky wheel gets the grease yet again. Empty and waiting on a load in the morning.

Surprisingly another trailer did hit the yard. Brand new too. A trainer and trainee dropped it off. I pretripped it and found 3 tires below 90 one of which was totally flat. I was like you've got to be kidding me. Aired it all up and no holes. Swapped it for this trailer that seems to be in great shape.
Fajo Thanks this. -
If this TA had idle air I would be all over that. So hot in Texas right now. Will be heading back inside until the sun goes down.
-
What? Over 90? Don't they let you idle at those temps? Dang...
-
They do but I don't want to idle until tomorrow morning. I will idle later when I need it to sleep. For chill time I'll just go inside. I rarely idle my truck. If I do it's only for an hour or two.

But it's hot out now... lol

I idled my truck as necessary to stay comfortable. I remember one evening at the Las Vegas terminal I had to turn the whole rig around to get the cab out of the setting sun. At 0400 when I got up it was still in the 90's.
