Going through Central Refrigerated Services affiliated trucking school and struggling

not all of Swifts schools are like that others are run by Swift.

 

4 weeks???? Are you kidding me???? I spent TWO weeks, of that time, 1 week was spent wasting time either waiting for a physical, waiting at the DMV, or watching useless videos. The following week was spend in the truck and most of us got less than 10 HOURS of driving!


I'd have been better off with a 4 week school!

 

I was led to believe that the Swift school was run on a national level through Truck Drivers Academy throughout the company. I do reserve the right to be wrong, but I would advise staying away from any school run by TDA for Swift or any other company.

 

Remember, back when the thread was created, Central Ref and Swift were still operating as separate companies. I'm not aware of Swift using any third-party schools. When I went to Swift Academy last year, it was operated by Swift employees on Swift property. There was NO TDA involvement that I am aware of, at least not directly.

 

So what if it is an old thread... we have plenty of wannabe drivers here who may be going througn the same thing and this thread is a help....

 

I guess i was just stating the obvious, that op either sunk or swam. Plus i am kind of curious what happened to him. Did not mean what you thought sorry for being unclear.
