I am curious, how does that work as far as legalities with your authority. I know household is a whole nuther animal, it stated right on my authority paper work no household goods or hazmat.
For me to legally be able to haul it, it had to be crated.

By the book.
You wouldn't get any business.
I'm talking about a man and a truck,trying to
Make some cash on the side.
He just happens to have a box truck with a lift gate.
No different than a handyman with a pick up truck.
These are all cash jobs.
Just have insurance on the truck.
When I moved to Vegas years ago, I got a 2
Bedroom apartment.
Totally unfurnished.
Went out and bought all the furniture for it.
Then drove down to U-HAUL and picked up a couple
Guys sitting out front.
Drove them back to where I bought all the stuff,
They ( not me ) loaded everything on my pick up,
Tied it all down, then unloaded all and put it all where
I wanted it in my apartment.
Including putting all the beds and furniture together.
It was the best thing since sliced bread.
Took them 4 hours, cost me 75 bucks apiece,
Plus lunch.
These guys do this #### everyday, and they want cash.
Had a friend who lives in Vegas who just sold
His house last year and had to move into a apartment.
He went on Craigslist.
2 guys show up in a pick up truck.
They charge 250 dollars a day plus gas money.
They do all the work, moved him out and back into
His apartment in one day.
They only take cash, and that's what they do for a living.
He was so happy with how fast they were done he
Tipped them 50 bucks apiece.
A moving company would have been 1500 bucks.
Cost him 350 and a six pack.
Like anything else, once the word spreads, he'll
Have more work than he can handle.
I would move anything I could get on that lift gate.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Yea I got you, sadly if a guy got too busy these days somebody would throw a monkey wrench in the works.
Western flyer and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -

Amazon.... you haven’t been reading.
It’s peanuts.... or it’s going to be.
EVERYone wants a truck they can drive around town..... easy stuff in upscale burbs. Home every night to kiss the kids.
Unfortunately it is a lot like a gold mine.... you get in early, you stake your claims, pan and dig, you make your money. But that doesn't run for very long. Sooner or later the town is like Virginia City and everyone wants the piece of the action.
Now everyone who has a car or truck is delivering packages. Mom and Pops start to spring up everywhere. You buy the sprinter van and your making money.
Only, if you know anything about economics, you suddenly see that supply quickly out paces demand. Prices go down... now you're making peanuts to deliver packages. Why do you think Fed-Ex just broke ties with Amazon? A Fed Ex guy makes more than Average Joe making deliveries. The Amazon guy makes peanuts.
Trust me... if it hasn't made it to your town, it will. Get on that right away and make the money until you see Delores who used to own the pie shop running a beat up Leggs van to deliver packages... and then get out. Because where I am, Amazon drivers are a dime a dozen.... My neighbor can make a few extra bucks delivering packages. But that's just it... a FEW extra bucks.
You want to drive a truck and make a living? It takes work. You have money to buy a Sprinter Van? You ok with making peanuts... all because you don't want to drive a big truck? Somehow its going to make life easier? Nothing is ever what it seems....
