Going to crst on monday

Good luck. Why you posting in bad section? Hope you don't have any thing bad to post in future.

 

Ive been working for CRST for about 1year. Don't expect high miles they are a training company and admit they hire loads of people every week. But freight has been picking up and my team has been moving like i never did before. I will probably see my miles going down after the holidays is over then back to my average miles.

 

I'm due to report to orientation with CRST on Monday, October 12, 2009 in Cedar Rapids. It came down to Warner or CRST and I figured for the 6 months I intended to be with either, I'd probably make a little bit more with CRST, plus CRST doesn't have quite as many horror stories as Warner. Who knows! I'll report back periodically.

I thought CRST was all team now.
No way I would run team for that pay with a new guy. You could get lucky and get a good one, but I have seen plenty of topics in this forum about the guys that got the bad one. Plus unless all the pay for the team is going into one bank acct. IE one household, it just does not make financial sence to go team.

 

Rest assured it will be the worst experience of his life.

 

I thought CRST had a hiring freeze going on?

 

Doesn't appear they have a freeze on. Just spoke with the recruiter. He's booking a bus ticket for me.

I'm not thrilled with going to work for CRST. Hell, I don't really want to drive a truck at all, but no one, inside or outside the trucking industry is hiring (other than Warner). However my unemployment is running out so I gotta work at something. I'm gonna do what so many others on this board have suggested, get the experience and move on.

 

no hireing freeze i have worked here for 9 months freight is picking up just dont be late or you will be sitting alot they hire 20 to 100 people a week and only a third satays
