The furthest up North I've been to is Pennsylvania, and I'm going to Maine next week to deliver a Lumber load, and I'm kinda nervous lol, so I want to know the dos and don'ts, will I find parking up there on the weekend? I'm gonna go through New York for the first time, hopefully I don't get lost and don't get stuck in traffic lol.

    austinmike and tscottme Thank this.

If there is a TA/Petro or Pilot/J near your delivery you could reserve a spot, just to be sure.

Where will you be starting from. That will be the factor to decide the route.

Maine is beautiful, mostly trees. Where are you going? I was in Bangor twice. I parked at Dysarts Truck Stop in Bangor I-95 Exit 180. I think there was one rest area (both directions) on I-95 between the state border & Bangor. Use Trucker Path app.

New York City or New York State. If you’re going I-90 Cleveland to buffalo New York, they can get some crazy lake effect snow you might want take 80to84 thru CT then up to mass turnpike past Boston then to main.. Their are a couple service plaza on main turnpike they usually not very busy.

I'm starting from Ozark, AL, and going to Fairfield, ME. Long way up there!! I'm gonna run 11 hours tomorrow and Sunday, try to do a 34, then delivery Tuesday, so I was wondering if I would find spaces up there on the weekend. I was gonna take I-95 and go straight up, that's the best route I think.

Get up to I-85 and run it up to Charlotte. Grab I-77 north off the 485 Loop. I-77 to I-81 in Virginia. Stay on I-81 all the way up to I-84 in Scranton, PA. I-84 from Scranton over to the 495 loop way around Boston. Then take 495 over to 95 up into Maine.

Running I-95 is just putting yourself though every major city in the most congested parts of the east coast for no reason.

85-95-US50-US 301-DE Rt 1-US 13-295-95-287-95-91-84-90-495-95 plenty of parking. There was a nice Irving if I recall in Fairfield. Fueled there on a Saturday evening in July, plenty of parking. I continued north to Bangor. Seemed like a ok spot. I could be wrong. Should be quiet though up there.
