That's hub miles, basically actual miles driven. Not many places do that. Roehl does practical which I believe is zip code to zip code. Sometimes you come out better, sometimes the company does. Kind of balances out supposedly, but practical miles are typically considered better than HHG (household good miles).

I am a bit confused on the pay, maybe some of you guys or gals that have been with company for awhile can help me out. I read in one of the posts on here that as a first year driver you shouldn't expect to make over 35,000, but the info I received from Roehl states a driver can expect between 2300 and 2800 miles per week. Now I'm not a math major, but if we take the middle of the road at 2600 miles per week at .33 per mile that would come out to about 41,000 per year. Am I being too optomistic in thinking I will get that kind of miles or is this a reasonable expectation?

Its my 1st year, I've already grossed $38k.

I average 2400 miles. Some weeks I get 1800, others I get 3200. All depends on freight

i got right at 2100 miles last week, and about 2500 the week before, just hard to say and ive had weeks with 3000, its hard to know what you will get and just depends on where you are and if they can find you a load right when you get empty

Depends how you run when you get out there. The lifestyle takes getting used to, but when you prove you can get the job done efficiently, you will see your loads get better. Like Ethan said he's already passed that mark and its September.

I tarp about 4 times per week. 30% of my pay is from stops and tarping.

Yes. It's my expensive little hobby. :yes2557:

As for the pay thing, I think I have posted this before on this forum, as the question seems to come up occasionally. I seem to average between 2400 and 2600 miles per week. (Because I live in Denver and run Van National, I get a 900+ mile load to the house and a 900+ load out of the house. This is a nice help in keeping my miles up.) I have some weeks that are 3200+, and I have a few that are only 2100. The short weeks are when I go home, and even then, I usually don't get too small a paycheck.
