@Squancho - Did you check all the companies on this thread? The OP is from Port St Lucie and he's looking also. We posted quite a few to him. Are you further South than he?

    @Squancho --

In your list of carriers above -- I noticed that you didn't show Werner Enterprises.

I know they are actively looking for southeastern regional drivers (& the hiring area includes Orlando, FL). Based on your above info -- I think you'd qualify.

Submit to them a completed app, at your earliest convenience (if you haven't already).

I also know that Maverick is looking for drivers in the Orlando area (for glass hauling).

If you haven't already been told flat-out "no thanks" by them...you might give recruiting there a call....& ask about your application's status.

Confirmed as of today, Werner is only taking on *teams* from my zip now. I asked about opportunities if I lived north, the recruiter was much more flexible. Father and sons, two brothers or a highly evolved couple can do this. The dice roll is too high for me; especially for a greenhorn that knows nothing.

As of today, Indian River only is hiring 6+ months of OTR exp. And
@Chinatown, if you drew a line longitudinally across from Port St Lucie, I’m dead on. Gulf Coast though.

No word yet on Kold or National Express. CFI currently requires at least 3 months.

As referenced in a thread from the past:

    “Sacrifices must be made.”

I’ll still plink off a dozen more applications, in the meantime; but I’m currently poised to move to Kentucky, Tennessee, Nebraska or Iowa. Perhaps in 30 days, after it’s official - I’ll try all this again.

*edit* I applied to Maverick 2 weeks ago though oddly enough I got a confirmation but it never showed up in the DriverPulse. I left a short, concise voice message with their recruiting last week saying I was a vet, a new driver with endorsements and I was ready to learn and earn. Crickets. An additional call to a mailbox at this point seems pushy.

    And what of Maverick?

Have you talked with them, of late?

That would be a very good start for you.

BTW: what is yur current zip code?

After filling out the application at PRT’s website; it stopped me and said it was mandatory to attach paper application. Give me strength. My CV is a little dusty and will not be spruced up for that gig.

Interestingly enough, one of the questions wasn’t which CDL school I attended.

Alright, thanks, Tanker jobs will have to because I can't get the Tanker endorsement right now, I'm in deep financial trouble, my sister's paying for everything, so jobs that doesn't require an endorsement is my focus right now.
