That's too bad fellow MassHole. Trucking seems to never be boring though..especially the Lot Lizards of the truck stops . Why worry about crashing though? I hear you on the eating #### part. A crock pot helps with that though so you can make somewhat healthier meals. The fun has really just begun for you..wait until snow season comes and you are "...comin' 'round the mountains as you come..." :D. Better bring spare shorts, grit them teeth like  and hopefully you won't come down sideways :)

Hang in there man and take one day at a time. At least wait until you have been on your own for a bit to make that decision. I would probably be miserable to if I was stuck in a box with some random dude.

Training sucks, things are significantly better when you get your own truck. The pace slows down, you choose where to park and where to eat. You have your own truck you can set up and stock the way you want.

Stick it out for at least a month solo and if you still feel the same way then it isn't for you.

I told the mentor yesterday, that I didn't think this was for me. He was shocked. I'm very comfortable behind the wheel and show skill in driving. Regardless of me learning in 2009 & not practicing since,I feel I'm a natural at this. I do need practice backing. He suggested,I do it alone first before making hasty decisions. One thing I know is that regret is a mofo,so I'll most likely stick it out. My biggest issue is not showering daily but had to deal with this in Army too. The fact that I'm eating turds & never burning calories will be the end to my 10 year Army reserves career. Something I thought about prior to starting. I put on weight very easily & my contract is up for Army in October. I was growing tired of military but was unsure if I was going to continue. Was hoping this trucking thing would be my next endeavor. By living the trucker lifestyle,I'll never pass a b.m.i. test to re-enlist in October,so if I continue,I've sealed my fate.
