Gee.... You do realize that the "proper" way to handle a mid life crisis is: Buy a Harley and go to Sturgis in August.![]()
Going to Swift orientation on Tuesday (Syracuse)

What I wonder is if, at Swift, you can switch trainers IF you find that you, for one reason or another, simply do not get along with such trainer again, for whatever that reason might be.
I also am curious who you have to speak with if you have issues with your DM or FM? Can you request a new one, or to be switched to a different one? This question is more about general companies though. I tend to think that a lot of the truckers success lies in if you have a good DM/FM. If you do, and you both can get along and see eye to eye, and/or work #### out when it does hit the fan, then wonderful.
Just a few thoughts... -
That guy that runs that show every year is from my home state of Tennessee. He travels there every year to run the ralley, then goes back home. After spending time in foreign ports, Sturgis is too mild for me. Easy to understand why it's exciting for people that haven't traveled worldwide.

I live in Sturgis and avoid the rally like the plague.
WesternPlains and Smut Thank this. -
I agree with you, completely. It's an absolute PIA! I used to drive trash. It was worse for that job. This year was the best Rally I've had in 7 years. I'm in Box Elder. No rally out here.

I imagine there is some guy in Tennessee claiming to run the rally. No way. It's too big. The local governments are involved in running it.
I was just trying to joke around with the OP about mid life crisis'. He has a heck of a way of treating it.
I joke that the Rally is an overgrown nursery for mid life crisis'. Still, there are an awful lot of good, fun loving people who come to the rally. I wish them the best. Want them to have fun and go home alive. Every year, it's depressing, watching the death toll rise.
BigBob410 and Truckermania Thank this. -
Where'd ya go, M/N?

I don't understand how you can insult the people in this thread that's been supportive of you.morpheus Thanks this.

I don't think that's his intention. He's between a rock and hard place right now; might even get pulled for Active Duty anytime in the middle of his training hell.
Personally, if he has the wherewithal to endure the military stints, he can do this. Just might take a little bit more tongue biting on his part. -
He wrote it didn't he? I was enjoying the thread till that post.
Ten years and seemingly never deployed kinda shocked me. ANYHOW I'm praying that no one gets called up or deployed and NoKo is resolved peacefully. -
For OTR I'd agree.. No hate to those guys.
But I run for Coca Cola doing Bulk..
Even though it's early morning work 3-4am start times..
It's really nice easy work (if everything goes smooth)
It's as about as 9-5 as you can get, and you're never couped up in a truck that longG13Tomcat Thanks this.
