Going to swift orientation. Will they make me take another physical?

No agility test with Swift, just the basic physical.

 

And don't be afraid of taking meds to drop the BP. The meds are dirt cheap, and you will still get a med card, just a 1 year one. As Swift is paying for them big deal....
But blood pressure is a huge issue as stress is a huge problem in the trucking industry. Combine both and you can have a really bad time of it if when something breaks inside your body.

 

Just make sure you have your long form with you as well as the little card and you won't have to take another. As long as there is more then 6 months until it expired you should be good. At least that's how they did things at the Jonestown terminal.

 

You are correct. With long form and plenty of remaining time on physical, you do not need a new one.

Other than failing physicals or drug tests, what else would disqualify someone at Swift, if they just accepted and trained your to receive your CDL at their own school?

 

Cant say specifically, dont work the lighting brigade. But some people just cant hack it. They may find something in a persons history that they didn't divulge or they just got around to the background check. Ect.. especially if you dont have your cdl yet, if you already passed the cdl and are in true orientation, there is less chance of getting sent home..

 

All companies do it well most. This gets me with medical problems people try to figure out a way out without dealing with it.

 

It should have said on the packet your recruitor sent you. Mine saod if it has at least 90 days left and I have long form I'm fine
