They are pumping drivers out so fast the trainers are few....if he can not wait maybe another option would work.....as long as he is not in a contract with them. This Forum has been so helpful to me check out some of the threads on here. When time for me to go out with a trainer I will be in Columbus. Oh..i hope I dont have the wait problem as well.

carolina girl another thing you can have him ask about is local work while he is waiting. that will show inititive and get him rolling and making some money. they probably will say no but it will get him noticed as wanting to work. it is worth a try.

If he does not get with a trainer soon Swift will pay for a bus ticket for him to come home...why not save the gas money and let them foot the bill.

Just spoke to my hubby - he was told this evening that his mentor is on the way to get him. He will be leaving the terminal on Monday. Swift is putting him in a hotel until then. I HOPE all goes well.

I'm at the Swift Memphis terminal and just finished orientation on Thurs and will be going out with my mentor Sunday around 11am...

We are going to Charleston, SC then up to Jersey... who knows from there.

He is on a fed ex dedicated account and is an owner operator.

    Can't wait to get going..

Sorry for being MIA for so long guys....my current job had me tied up...Anyways Im glad to see all the posts and good news and everyone giving advice. I talked to my recruiter Tiffany 3 days ago to make sure things with me were still ok and she advised me I am still slated to go to San Antonio on August 6th and I will get my itinerary approximately a week before I leave. My b-day is on aug. 2 and I live in Ga so I hope I can celebrate my b-day here before getting on the bus...if not...I will celebrate it with my new career.... :) Im just really excited to be so close now to doing what I've been wanting to do for quite a while now...be a TRUCK DRIVER...hopefully me, Majik Lady and others on here going to training soon will be posting blogs/threads of our individual experiences...
