Hello Everyone. I'm new to trucking, I just obtained my CDL, Sept. of 2011. As of date I have worked 2 CDL jobs. My first was driving a tanker. At this job all I did was pull saltwater from well tanks and haul it to disposal. Pretty easy work, but not a lot of hours and the pay wasn't the best. Now I'm driving a Semi doing hot shot work, again not the hours I need to get or was told I'd get. I've spoke to several recruiters with many company's and have decided to go with Werner. I will be on a dedicated run and the pay and home time seem reasonable, oh and benefits which I didn't have or don't have at my current employer are a plus. I have read a lot of negative post on here about Werner and hope I have better experience then most.
Going to Werner....

Welcome aboard! Best advice... Avoid terminals at all cost
-
Terminals are the worst place to be I agree.

avoid the terminals ?? never drove for the mega co's, but with the smaller ones that was the place to layover. safe , quite, free showers and laundry.

I saw a Werner truck pulling into a truck stop today, so I pulled in beside him to chat. Very nice guy, I think his name is Jay. I asked him the pro's and con's. He really spoke well of the company. He drives otr not dedicated.
