Everett Thanks this. -
Lowblaze how is it going over at WSE?
-
You should have picked a larger fleet to go with WSE has now miles for new drivers you'll be lucky to see 1500-1800 miles at the most and sit around the rest of the week that is being Otr as well I'm sure regional make less. WSE seems to be making money off new drivers the government give them like$10k to hire new drivers and they say they reimburse you most of that but what they don't tell you is WSE has one of highest turn over rate s you just don't hear about it because they are a smaller fleet
Everett Thanks this. -
I couldn't deal with "laying over" In a Mack. Or driving one for that matter....
-
Recruiter told me yesterday fleet average was 2300. starting pay is 30 cpm. Doesn't seem bad for a starter company
-
thats what recruiters tell every one , ask them for it in writing and see what happens they will make some quick reason why they cant write it down for you ,but i promise being a new driver you will not get 2300miles maybe you will if a owner op but thats if your lucky i talk with many of my fellow drivers and most have it worse of then me the problem is we sit on loads for to long all good loads go to trainer driver to get trainees accross the 4 corners of the country. i have only heard of 2 drivers of the 15 i ask getting over 2500 miles and they of course are trainers and the ones getting 2000-2400 are veterens all other drivers average between 12-1800 miles a week. and the problem with the macks is all the new grads think they have great fleets out there because of the new macks out in the yard but they are probably the cheapest made truck out there and most drivers would prefer to have a old international with out a APU then a mack with one and dont for a second think your getting a volvo they are only for trainer trucks

In 75 I leased on .....
To keep from lossing my truck.....
Time's has changed .....
But they was the first people that ever gave me a ADVANCE...
My heart goes out to the old black and white's..
Take it as it is....... -
Just last week I seen in one of the trucking magazines WSE had a add saying 500+miles a day garentied for new solo company drivers I called head of planing and asked why they would put that out there when have the fleet makes about 300miles a day and he truer his hardest to explain that it was a marketing move and nothing is a guarantee in this business. If you ask me the company just admitted to false advertisement
