Well I've got my 30000 in. Should be getting routed back to Springfield this week. If I can get my trainer out of the sleeper long enough to drive a shift. I don't know if I just have bad luck or I expect to much from people. But prime needs to take a long look at who they have training new driver's.
I've heard this from some of my classmates too. My trainer does drive at least 6-8 hrs minimum, but did let me know in the beginning that I will be driving way more than him and a lot of the trainees of drivers have an issue with that. "If you're not driving, you're not learning." Plus, we're cheap labor, so it's not a rush to get us off the truck. Lol. I just started my mad dash to 30K Monday. I am at 3500+ miles already with another 2K currently. Congrats on finishing tho.
I don't have a problem with how much I have been driving. But when I have to sit in the front of the truck for 4 to 5 hour's after my shift waiting for him to get up. That's where the problem comes in.
Totally understand. It's just that it's their rules and nothing we can do about it, except attempt to get off their truck as fast as we can. Lol. Hopefully they have you setup for the next upgrade class, so that you don't have to wait.
Looking like it will be tomorrow before I can get back to Springfield. I'm out of hour's and my trainer has been in the sleeper since 10 last night. It's now 5:22 pm. He should be rested.
My trainer (TNT) did that once, he wouldn't get up after my shift so I just went to bed in my bunk. He got pissed and jumped my case about it and I just told him I wasn't his babysitter and he was a grown man and to act like it. End of problem, especially after he found out I had sent a QC message stating we were going to be late to out 90 because he would not get up. Never had a problem after that. LOL
Setting in Springfield. My choise. Things to do. Money is going good just still me doing a few bone head things but learning from them. Hope it makes me a better business person.
