How about if you leave early/quit? do you have a choice of paying the company back on installment's?

I started with CRST, and I would strongly advise against it. Unless you don't care about getting paid, their training program/pay is significantly less than minimum wage.

In California you have to wait 90 days for insurance and I had an accident on my 88th day resulting in over 100k in medical bills. This has wiped out my credit since I had no way of paying it back. My credit is getting better and yes I have thought of goverment funding but they told me it would take a long time. So why not sign an 8 month contract and get the otr experience instead of waiting for a govt loan. I have dealt with so many different types of people both with good and bad attitudes. I treat everyone with respect. If you think about it, 8 months is not a long time. I have put up with a lot of companies and people in my life and I have always stuck through the rough patches. Thanks for all the inputs ! mauidave:biggrin_25514:

Please tell me more. When did you start your training? Did you sign a contract? Are you a team driver? Where in L.A. do you live, I'm thinking of moving down to Hunnington, Hermosa, Long, Sunset or anything with a beach after the name. Where do you work now? Does the pay guideline that they send you is false? Many mahalos for any answers!

    Hey mauidave
slowpoke was right on the money with his advice. Running teams sounds great in theory, but the reality is that running as a team can be tough. Some people can sleep well in a rocking truck, some cannot. You will likely wake up whenever your co-driver stops the truck. My advice to you is to find a company that will allow you to team or solo depending on your preference.

Does JN own that Harley dealer, too? My brother worked at Cycle City for years and did rental break in and out of the crate set up. I was the only way he got to be on a Harley cause they were so cheap! That was one of this three jobs he had at the time.

Now he's a cop and can afford his own Harley. Not to mention the BMW he rides for work...

Aloha, bra! I'll follow your progress.:Motorcycle:

At the time chompi, there was no government funding available for CDL classes. But, that was 14 years ago so things may have changed by now...
