Anybody know companies that are good to work for in the south Jersey/Philly area. I see a lot of day cabs around here. Looks like it will be easy to get a local job after OTR.
Always wanted to do tanker/gas. How about S coaluzzo, Riggins, dana, goodman, lee transport. Anybody have any experience with them?
Info on any company in the area would be appreciated. Box, tanker, flat...
There are a lot of terminals in my area. How about campbells express, SJ transport or any of the private fleets that operate out of mutiple industrial parks around here?

Volpe express is teamster, hard to get in unless your a family member or yrs of Exp.And probably start as dockworker and work your way up.
When I got my CDL Volpe contacted school and asked for top students. I applied and spoke with transportation manager and ended up the saftey manager didn't aprove with Trans. manager on his idealrizob Thanks this. -

I started with Venezia yesterday. I have been driving for over 3 years now. Pretty much figured out all theese companys are a bunch of dirty buggers. It is just which way they through the dirrt. I am working on getting info on there pay and benefits and will post it once I have compiled it.
I would give Con-Way a shout if you want to do local. They hired me right out of school. Just have to have your doubles and Hazmat endorsements. That was in 2007 in Savannah GANeed4Speed Thanks this. -
venezia has there good and bad worked there for 3 years as an owner/operator.bad is they hold 2 weeks of pay meaning when you start there you wont see a paycheck for 3 weeks, they pay you good per mile but they dont pay practical miles for example paulsboro,nj to gastonia,nc paid 512 miles but in reality its 556 miles then theyll dead head you back now youve drove almost 100 miles for free.youll do a lot of short runs and have a lot of time in that load for little money.youll be tired a lot cause of exxon mobils goofy appointment times to get loaded for example appointment is at 1am to get loaded in paulsboro,nj and expect you to be in roanoke,va at 8 am what im saying is youll never have a normal sleep pattern.the good is they really updated there equipment and have a good maintence program there benefits are pretty good think its only 15-18 dollars per week for health insurance for singles and has descent coverage youll get consisent miles each week about 2000-2500 so youll make about 900-1000 per week so overall they have there good and bad hope this info helps
