Roadmaster is expensive and owned by Werner.
I'd call the companies you're interested in and ask which school they hire from.
Might not even be Continental or Roadmaster. Might be a community college cdl school in the area.
This looks good on Continental website:
Continental has a certificate of approval from the Texas Workforce Commission to operate a career school or college in the state of Texas.

Thank you and I appreciate your experience and the information you've provided. I didn't really mean "abuse" in a super negative unsafe way, I guess I meant more so I didn't want to do OTR for my first job IF possible. I'm seeing the same numbers that OTR companies offer for linehaul/LTL gigs and admittedly that has me intrigued. If there is such a driver shortage then why not apply to these gigs you know? Just looking for the best option for my particular situation. I don't want to be away from home a bunch if I can achieve the same income doing something else that allows me to be home more often.

I agree with you there's absolutely more to a good company than the pay. I'm coming from the security industry so I know a thing or two about ####ty companies and the way they treat employees so best believe I'm looking for someplace that treats me like I'm more than just a number.

Another tanker option, given your location:

    CAREERS & APPRENTICE PROGRAM | wdtmilk.com

Most of their terminals appear to be in Texas.

The tanker world offers many advantages over pulling boxes.

    You might look into it.

Thank you @Chinatown I will do just that! That makes sense to make a few calls and get the lay of the land. Also, I will call the Texas Workforce Commission to see if I qualify for the WIOA. I saw another post on here that has me intrigued. I mean I have the money to pay for schooling but if I can get it for free then why not.

Thank you. I think I checked into WDT and the pay was low for starting out. I could be wrong though. I'll look back into it again.

Thank you (again). I'm super interested in Linehaul. I work nights anyway so driving at night for me is no biggie. I will look into how I can get into OD Linehaul.

Correct--the world of milk will not directly compete with linehaul, etc, for pay.

But the idea here is to get you started off on the right foot in the tanker world, at someplace besides a so-called, "mega-carrier".

The experience you get learning to pull an unbaffled tank doing milk will allow you to pivot to much better paying jobs, later.

Many drivers who wind up in the tanker world wished they had gone into that sector, sooner/earlier.

    Just some food for thought.

You have any more info on why to avoid KLLM? Information on them on youtube is a little sparse but they're offering like a weekly guarantee of $1500 regional job however I don't really trust them because I half filled out an application and I got a call back the next day lol. The recruiter screamed desperation and it threw me off.
