I live pretty close to you! I live up in blue ridge, ga. I am a 33 year old. I have a wife and 2 pre-teen kids. I drive for Maverick Transportation out of little rock. I just can't say enough good things about this company. They are mainly a flatbed company and they will train you up. You don't need to know anything about securing or harping because they train you. Their training is amazing by the way. Hands on and classroom. You will learn how to secure everything from coils to lumber.

I believe you get 450 the week of orientation. After that you get 500 a week training. This is securement training and time with a trainer on a truck if needed. From then on...you are rolling brother. They start you at .33 CPM I think but after 6 month you go up to .42. Also have to add on the performance bonus which is an additional 6 CPM (and its a easy goal to hit). You are talking about 50cpm or close to it at the 6 month mark. They also have nearly a thousand dollar sign on bonus.

I've been with them 5 months and I pull a flatbed. I can honestly say that I have never been lied to by anyone from maverick including my recruiter and dispatcher. I can honestly say that I have never brought home a check that was below 800 dollars net after insurance and everything. I can honestly say that this company takes care of their drivers and equipment. Most drivers get home every weekend. Personally I'm in long haul so I get home every other weekend but sometimes I'm close enough to take my 34 reset at home anyway. They have yet to miss getting me home. Freight slowing down you say? I haven't seen it yet. Within 15 minutes of sending in my empty macro, I have my next assignment.

This is all ######## free too. I am a driver for maverick, not a recruiter or anything. I wish I had known about this company sooner.

Feel free to call and ask for Jeff Bone. He was my recruiter and you can take what he says for truth because even though it may sound too good to be true, I've never been lied to. Give them my name if you don't mind because I get a little referral bonus as well. My name is Chris Yohn. Truck number 11093. If you have any questions, email me at cyay918@gmail.com. I only check this site once every few days so email is the best way to reach me. Best of luck to you man and maybe I'll see you in a maroon cascadia soon!
