Good deal or Black hole?

    2000 VNL64T 660, S60 430hp, 1800 pounds of twisting force. super 10 trans!!! 700.000 miles(new tires though:biggrin_255:) can and has passed DOT. $7.500 firm, sign in blood or run for the hills?

    Sounds like a fair deal so far. Go check it out and listen for any strange noises in the front of that Detroit. Bull gear would be the only weak spot that is anything like common.
    If it looks clean enough, go for it. I doubt you are going to get maintenance records on a truck that age, but you could ask I guess.
    Be sure to check everything works, as some parts will be Volvo only and kind of spendy to buy. Hard to be real picky on a $7500 truck though:biggrin_2559:

    Why such low mileage on that old of a truck? I have a friend that drives back and forth to work daily and puts about the same miles per year that that truck averaged

    low mileage happens. i have a 97 car with just over 60k miles on it. no one that has any business looking at the mileage (insurance and mechanic type people) has failed to be amazed by the number yet.

    Just hook it up to a reader and compare the mileage if its a concern.
    ECM mileage should (in theory) match the odometer mileage.

    For $7500 and if it runs and drives good, doesn't look like a train wreck I would buy it.
