Are you talking about JBS Carriers. Not sure if they are still hiring students. Trucks are traded in after 3 years and I think after training when they did train students you were getting 30cpm.

These are the "perks" they list on their website..... :biggrin_2556:

    1 year: $.33

    2 years: $.34

    3 years: $.36
    4 years: $.37
    5 years: $.39
6 years: $.40 (cap)---I think this is a misprint it should say CRAP.

Driver will not be paid empty home
24-36 hour home time policy (may not always be the weekend)
Additional Stops and/or pickups $20 per stop
    Driver Unload $2.50 per/thousand lbs.
Detention: 4 hours free then $10 per hour with a max of 10 hours per occurrence --- 10 bucks an hour? is that even mimimum wage?
Layover: $40 per occurrence after sitting idle for 24 hours and must be available for work during this period of time

Good luck in your new career at JBS!

We still have trainers so im guessing they still hire trainees and you get .30 per mile after training.

Ya I told one guy about us and the website thing rejected him. Then I told him to call, and he said the recruiter told him he needed 6 months experience. So maybe its just a seasonal thing or they have to many students waiting for trainers. Not sure.

If I recall correctly, JBS Carriers is owned by JBSUSA out of Greely Colorado, which is owned by JBSSA which is out of Brazil, which has meat packing plants in both the U.S.A. and other parts of the world. JBS Carriers also hauls produce and other freight, if I recall correctly.

I believe that they are even bigger than Tyson Foods.

    Dinomite Thanks this.
