Been off work for about 45 days (by choice) < went down to the yard yesterday to get my truck ready, picked up a load for the boss(favor) and when I got home 12 hrs later after being in that glorious Az. heat realized how soft I had gotten! :biggrin_2556:

I was on Vacation in the US for a month mainly the south east.
It was great but I wont do it that time of the year again.
Most of the time you are looking for air conditioned areas for a bit of relief.
The day I arrived in DC it was some sort of record for them , man was it hot.

loaded our flatbed local in Atlanta, GA here for outbound long haul and i was drenched after I was done. Drove to our drop yard, dropped and came straight home for a shower.

Luckily this one didn't require tarps. :biggrin_25519:

Ugh, I've been going through 2-3 outfits a day. Every time I load and unload I finish dripping sweat and stinking. My laundry bag smells horrible.

We loaded in Phoenix last Fri. afternoon late. Was like 105 out at 5pm. I had to tarp the load.
Thank goodness it was only 1 tarp and my wife was there helping.
I'm getting to old for this stuff. Haha

Had to throw both my lumber tarps, and a steel tarp on a load the other day... GOD it was horrible!! I can handle the heat, but know when enough is enough. I stopped once and went to get water and some a/c. Ill work, but will pass on a heat stroke.

    SHC Thanks this.
