Hi RERM, did your mechanic bail on you? I see your last post you said your mechanic was going to check it out. If the engine only has 100 miles from rebuild, there should be papers on that, no papers, no deal. A short ride will tell you a lot, however trucks behave and sound different with a load on. You may not hear a bad bearing until you have a load on. Oil from the axles and trans should have no metal shavings (like metallic paint), nothing coming out of the air tanks. When it's running, grab the steering shaft and turn it, watching the steering gear for worn parts. Price seems fair and KW is a great truck.
