Well that sounds like fun.
Otay Mesa can be as bad as Laredo.
At least it wasn't 15 degrees down there. I'm sure that MN cold won't do you any favors either.

Ended up being drop and hook in bloomington MN.... Grabbing a load of plastic in Foley MN going to Cleveland NC. Picks up tommorow. Currently trying the QC reset via Omnitracs, i put it off until delivery, just in case.

After doing this local crap I pickup in perris ca and dropping it at the Albuquerque terminal. Having issues with Qualcomm. When I open up to get to the keyboard the screen goes almost dark
Have to reset it to brighten it up. Been leaving it open for the most part
Navigation not working that great either. Arrival Macs not working either.
Notice it's not marking the location at times -

I mean to add further complication, this is a brand new truck and the unit may have never been working properly when i picked it up. Current plan is to deliver in Cleveland NC, and just have Greer check it out.

Make sure you go off duty, approve your logs and then log out at least an hour before you give it to the shop.
That will give the system time to record everything.
The shop won't save any info, they just unplug one and plug a 'new' one in. Then you have to wait a bit before the 'new' QC is updated and on-line for your truck.
The last time my QC was changed in this truck I lost all the logs for the past 3 days. It showed me on the drive line for all that time. I had to take a 34 (after the time spent 'fixing' the problem) at the Lathrop terminal to reset my hours.
That unit had communication problems, so all the logs I had approved were not sent. Just make sure you don't lose any.
And I still had problems with the 'new' unit as well.
It turns out that the main problem was the data cable between the antenna and black box, but they never checked for that until the 'new' one had the same problems the same day they gave it back to me. And I had to tell them where to look, because they seemed totally in the dark as to how to diagnose anything.
It still had problems, until this latest round of mess that made Omnitracs do a system wide update. I have not had any major problems since.
It does still mute one front speaker most of the time, even though I have the QC audio playing from the QC and not the speaker. But now it is the right front speaker that seldom works, when before it was the left front.
All these programmers just seem like the peanut gallery, if you ask me. They never get things totally right.FerrissWheel Thanks this.
