Good Night From II

I showed up at around 1100 for my 1600 pickup time.
After getting my pickup number I was given a door and was out of there at around 1400.

What was a very tight load turned out to have plenty of time on it.
It was nice to be able to get a shower with that extra time.

 

Story City, IA.

I sat for 2 days in Kansas City for the holiday weekend, delivered my load this morning and now another day between loads.
My PTA was 1030 and my next load picks up at 1100 tomorrow.

It's a nice enough load with about 775 miles, just too much down time these days.
I'll be t-calling that load at the Columbus terminal on Wednesday.

saturday first load shipper was closed.
so ended up only doing the 2nd trip. picked up in fontana and dropped it in ontario.
worked total of 6hrs.
today the 1 st trip (anaheim to perris) went normal.
2nd trip. trailer at shipper had a flat tire..
goodyear showed up pretty quick. o lytbing was he had less the a quater tank of gas.
he said the air compressorran off the trucks tank and be said needes more gas f k r it to tirn on. so he left and put more gas in..
still wluldnt start so he called his boss and after a few tries he got it working.
so after removing tire couldnt find the issue why it was flat.
so he figured whoever took the hose off( the trajler inflation system) the valve must not screwed it all the way on. was looose when he took it off.
so put itback on and i made the drop in ontario. then came here.
went home for dinner a d shower and came back here to spend nite on truck since i have to get up at 3am to make my 1st delivery at 5 am.

 

I hope you get enough sleep...

I forgot the 2 hour time difference between us.

 

Add to that the hope that the sleep improves typing ability in the future

get enough. by sleeping in the truck i wont need to get up earlier

stupid touch screen and fat fingers doesnt help lol.

 

I have the same problem sometimes. Best thing i found it to turn it off and take a lense cloth or something to it to clean off all the oils.
