That short load to Muscatine, IA worked out OK for me.
I was able to get laundry done, and even had time to stop for a much needed shower during my drive today.
I got to the consignee 1.5 hours early, hoping for the best to allow me a bit more time on my next load.
When I got there another Swift was just backing in to the dock, with yet another already docked.
I went in to receiving and was told to take the last open dock.
She said I could either wait in line to be unloaded or drop it in the dock and go grab an empty from the lot. Guess what I did?
That was a no-brainer, and I'm really glad I was the one given that option.
I ended up picking up my next load at the delivery appointment time of the last. -
did the find a trailer on pointe app. for first time.
made a delivery at ross and they had no extra trailers to give out.
the app gave me 4 trailers. all at that ross lol.
so drove over to lowe's dc and they had none either.
dod the app thibg sgain and gave me four choices. differnt dc's.
got one at my first choice at graingers.

I'm at the J in Walton, KY today, doing a forced 34.
I delivered Friday evening, got a pplan Saturday morning. 30 empty and 300 loaded, and it doesn't deliver until Monday. -

I delivered to Edwardsville, KS this morning and as soon as I sent my mac 5 I got 2 pplans.
10 minutes later as I was backing into the dock I get a call from my DM. He was contacted by the planner who wants an immediate response to the plans.
OK... give me a MINUTE!!!
Both garbage loads. Usually when they send a garbage load they back it up with something decent. Not this time.
The first was picking up a live load at the Sam's in KC and delivering to a FedEx place in Edwardsville - a live unload. 11 miles both ways.
The second was picking up a t-called load at the Swift terminal in Edwardsville, delivering 360 miles away Sunday night at midnight, also a live unload. And today is Thursday.
I accepted the first and said no to the second.
When I got to Sam's they said they do not load drivers there, only unload. She checked with the office and they had nothing going out.
After a call to my DM we found out it was an OSD load that had been completed yesterday, but the driver had not done any of the macro's for it.
His own DM had simply emptied him out at the final and the load was still in the system waiting to be done. Total incompetence on that end.
Shortly after that I got a load from Kearney, MO to York, NE that delivers anytime tomorrow, and around 300 miles.
A short load, but better than the garbage I had been sent earlier.dptrucker Thanks this. -

Finally a good load.
I was unloaded at around 1000 this morning then waited 6+ hours for a pplan. At that point I was wondering if I would be sitting all weekend, again.
The pickup was tonight until midnight in Sioux City, IA, which would have left me with no time left on my 14 and nowhere to park.
I countered it saying I would pick up in the morning. The planner sends me a message to pick it up anytime as long as it delivers on time.
Very nice.
Around 700 miles total going to KS, which I'll deliver Sunday so it is in this pay period. That will give me around 2200 miles for the week, which has been a very rare thing lately.dptrucker and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.
