It's seems amazing that so many drivers do not know how to properly t-call a load.
DM's for that matter.
I get to Edwardsville to pick up a load yesterday. I was dispatched so it had already been t-called.
When I got there the truck was still attached to the trailer and the driver was not there. I was told she was 3 hours away and would not be back to the truck until 2000.
This morning the trailer was free so I hooked up to it. But, there was no paperwork.
She had scanned it in, but only the first page. And this load had an extra stop, so I am missing anything even mentioning that first stop.
My DM contacted CSR to provide the first stop with a copy of their BOL, but had yet to hear back from them even after I had delivered.
When I t-call a load my DM asks me if I have scanned in the paperwork and left it in the bill box, as well as making sure I provided a scale ticket if it is over 36k.
We don't need to keep the paperwork once it is scanned in, and a t-called load is left with all the paperwork for the next driver.
I'm really tired of people dropping the ball with t-called loads.
I mentioned to my DM that one of the training videos we are required to watch each month for the bonus should be about the proper t-call procedure.dptrucker, dwells40 and navypoppop Thank this. -
I got home Friday, a bit late in the day, but on my requested home time date.
First time in 3 months that I've gotten home on time, so that was nice.
I deadheaded the last 210 miles because that was as close as they could get me.
But before I even got done with that last load my TM sent me a very nice load for when I return. 700 miles, which is pretty good these days, and much better than my usual loads out.
