How's it going?

 

Better than those first knee surgeries, for sure.

Physical therapy twice a week, and just past the 4 week mark.
The brace is still locked in the 0 degree position, but the therapist flexes my knee some during the sessions. The other day she let it get to about 70 degrees.
There was some tugging, but very little actual pain. She says I am doing very well.
Recovery time is supposed to be 4-6 months, so getting full use of that knee will take some time.

My sister had a hip replacement surgery about a week ago, so it is more on me now to help her out.
The timing was pretty good since I can get around a bit better now, and can just fit in my car for getting to therapy and the store.
Good thing it is my left knee, and that my car has just enough leg room, so I can drive.

So, it is going pretty well.

 

dl called and said i will be hauling empty trailers from adelanto ca to a amazon warehouse. he didnt say what dc yet.
6am -6pm monday thru saturday.
.gonna last about 6 weeks he said.
250. guarantee a day.
deliver this load to costco at noon tomorrow and take rest of day off.
then friday start movimg them
thsn weekend off.
be a nice break from this relay

 

That is only Sunday off, not the weekend.

 

yeah.. get a 34 reset so i can start fresh monday.
its only six weeks

 

That would be a rough schedule for me. I would have said, I'll do 0700-1700 - and for the same pay.
Less than $21 per hour is not great. $25 is better.

My regional gig I get .64 per mile, which is $38.40 per hour at 60mph.
Hauling empty trailers back and forth is basically all drive time, so... $250 per day for 12 hours is really not good.

I don't know what your usual rate is, but even at 50 cpm that pay rate for that time is pretty low.

 

seems amazon cant get their act together.
dl says empty moves are on hold for now.
so i been on the lost hills relay again.
pretty much lost a day last thursday.
just did a live unload at costco dc down the street from.jurupa and then picked up a load at walmart next door for fridays trip.

 

started my clock at 0730 to pick up a preloaded trailer at floor and decor in perris ca.
first time i scaled the load(42800 lbs) drives were 35700. tandems were 33100 gross was 81000.
they couldnt get load legal after 3 tries.
dl had me leave load at shipper.
made it back to terminal and clocked out at 2100.
other driver drove all they down here since i couldnt make it to lost hills.
dl gave me 2 local runs for tomorrow

Maybe they need a new calculator, or someone that knows how to add.
What a waste of everyone's day.

Hopefully tomorrow will be cake.
