Nice load of tater chips from Manteno to New Albany, MS. Ended up having to go out of route to Memphis yesterday to get brakes replaced at 3/4 wheels on the trailer because they were cracked and the jerk that t-called it at Manteno hadn't pre-tripped the trailer. I was parked next to a grey Volvo on my break, thought it might have been Frank.

Frank has a Prostar ... and not to be a deliberate butt head. But if you're going to cap on the guy who t called the trailer for a poor pre trip, what about your pre trip when you picked up the trailer in Manteeno?

Tire problems are going around. Like the flu. I repowered a load off someone who blew the outside front passenger trailer tire. Well, I just ran the tread off its buddy. About 30 miles short of the delivery.

I did pretrip in Manteno , shop was closed for the night so I went with it.

Understandable ... done the same thing myself. Just called in to on road and ducked into the next TA /Petro. If on road insisted on routing you to Memphis, I hope they added the miles to your route.

Boise, ID at the TA.
I got here at 1600 and the place was completely full, except for reserved parking.
This is one of those times I am grateful for it.saddler Thanks this. -
I set off a critical event this evening.
As I was going from I-82 to I-90W things were a bit tight, both front and back and all around. I had slipped in between two other trucks, with the one at my rear very close. That driver was trying to make it close; I guess he was in a hurry.
I started slowing a bit to make some space between me and the truck in front, and then the front truck began to brake.
Then braked harder, so I did to keep my distance.
It was a bit touchy because of the slick road conditions.
But I kept some distance so it was fine.
Just then I saw a car in the center median that had spun out. It hadn't quite stopped yet.
4 lanes merging into two lanes with a lot of traffic in slick conditions... and it might have been much worse.
I'm pretty sure a video will be sent in. Let's see if I get called out for it.
I was headed to the Love's a couple miles up the road.
The road conditions on Snoqualamie (sp?) made me think that it would not be wise to try and make a 2330 delivery tonight, so I stopped and sent a mac 22.
The road conditions I was just getting in to reinforced that decision.
The Love's was full, surprise. So I went across the street and saw several other trucks parked in a lot by a motel.
I parked there.
Not long after a girl was knocking on my truck saying that the parking was only for customers of the motel. I was hit up for a $40 parking fee.FerrissWheel, blsqueak, MosquitoBandito and 1 other person Thank this. -
The last few days my student was sick, and I was driving. Now I'm sick and he's driving. We're up here at the TA in Erie PA. Got a van headed to TSC in Franklin KY.

I finally pushed Lancaster planners too far, they're deadheading me to Phoenix.

And what triggered this? Or have I missed something in my flu ridden delirium.
