Hello guys, this is my first post. I was reading a post about someone asking what cities are good to live in for trucking jobs. Im 19 years old, I'm about to go truckin school in March. Once I graduate in April ill be looking for a job. I live about 45 minutes from Jacksonville, about 30 minutes from Gainesville and about 15 minutes from I-95

Hi ebaugh 90 and welcome to the truckers forum. I would suggest looking at every single local dump company you can find as you can only do inter-florida. Also, go to your local truck stop and start asking o/o's if they know any leads. My final suggestion would to apply at Ryder as a fuel attendant or Penske. You could try the big truck dealers too. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

    Ebaugh,

I agree with notarps and if worse comes to worse wait until you are 21. Not trying to hurt your feelings, but the insurance will be outrageous.
