I will be completing my cdl training in a few weeks, I have been researching several of the companies that recruit at my school. It seems that 90% of all post are negative about every company out there regardless of who they are. Does anyone know of any companies that are good for newbies?

Where do you live? What kind of home time are you looking for? Do you have a family? What kind of trailer do you want to haul?

You may hear a lot of bad things about big companies because they are big. They have a bunch of people who are not truckers. They are wannabe truckers. They go to school, they get hired on, they get with a trainer, they get on the road and then all of the sudden, the company is treating them bad........Maybe they are treating the company bad....maybe they are not fit to be truckers....

My point is, you need to find the best fit for you. That is why I asked those questions up above this post.

can I say life is like an excriment sandwich, you can choose many different types of excriment, but ultimately you're gonna have to take a bite of one of them. get the first year out of any company and you'll get more opportunities. get 2 3 or 4 years... you get more opportunities.

I live in Fontana California.Have no spouse, but I do have two kids who spend equal time with myself and their mother. I would like to make it home every couple of weeks or so. As for type of trailer I would like to haul, I have no real preference.

Just remember that folks are way more likely to post about a bad experience than a good one....AND....there's always two sides to every situation. You're only hearing one side.
Do your research. Visit a truck stop and talk to some folks that are driving for the companies that you're considering. Run with the company in which you're most comfortable. Make the most of your every situation and opportunity to learn.
