Based on your experiences, what brand of straps do you use and why?

    1. Do you have a favorite place to order your straps (online, brick and mortar store, other place) that is good on pricing?
    - I prefer to order online - if the company is reputable and carries quality equipment at a good price. I'll buy off the shelf if I need to, or if the price is right.

    2. What brands have worked best for you? What brands do you steer clear of?
    - I seem to see the following brands out there (in no particular order):
    -- Exaloy
    -- BlackLine
    -- PCC
    -- Kinedyne
    -- Ancra

    Did I miss any?

    Thanks!

    Multiprens is good.

I find Ancra to be stiff after first time getting wet at all. Shop stopped ordering them. And I have made it my goal to get all removed from any trailer I use.
Kinedyne seem to stay more flexiblexpensive for longer.

Company has been getting their's from Ratchtdepot and most seem to stay flexible but it maybe the fact we haul alot of stone but I tend to have at least one strap needing replaced on every trailer I pick up. I wish I could take them off the winches but lack of room and company rules they stay on except to change.

As skellr said multiprens as I have seen a few if them still on some trailers in good shape.

I normally buy them a case at a time at the truck dealership. Usually a case costs $100 for 10. I keep a full case of straps, and a full case of bungees and replace the case when I open it.

I get mine Online A case at a time from U.S. cargo control. Only Thing I dislike about them is some of their hooks have to be smacked with a sledge hammer to fit through the rub rail.

I bought some 3" US Cargo control straps and those hooks drive me nuts. Need to remember to smack mine when I get to the shop today.

I use Kinedyne for my 2" and 4" straps. Kinedynes 3" straps use a 4" hook. I wanted to be able to stick the 3" in my stake pocket holes so I had to go with the US straps.

I prefer Kinedynes myself but my 50'ers are US Cargo and yes, took a couple good whacks with my 8# tire thumper to get the hooks correct.

Ancra's IMHO begin to stink something terrible the first time they get wet.

Edit - I get my Kinedynes from Northcutt in Wichita, KS, US Cargo direct mail order.
