Hi, I want to become a truck driver and i don't have the money to go to the truck driving school. I have found CRST in California i have talked to the recruiter and it seems like a decent way to start. the only other place that i have found was usxpress and they are noteven taking people like me they are right next to the CRST in fontana, ca. so i there any other place that have a training and hiring program. Thank you all for your time and for you response i greatly appreciate it.:biggrin_25519:

The terms are an oxymoron. Mutually exclusive so to speak. Most companies that train are less ok to stay with, but lord knows there's plenty of old hands at all of them, so it's possible to make money (some, anyway) even there. A google or two on trucking companies training will throw at least several up there, Bubba Junk has some listed, like FFE, Swift, Werner, CR England, CRST, Prime, etc etc. Each one offers different "value" for your time and/or money, and the longer term opportunities vary. Do a few searches here too: newbie questions section, etc.. Search is your friend. Think about community colleges, PTDI schools, pell grants, student loans, grant programs (maybe NOT in CA, now) etc.. there's options, and some companies pay tuition reimbursement while you stay with them, as long as it's an approved (by them) school. Go for it. Good luck.
