I once got a 6-month card because the test showed too much protein. The doc said it was probably because of the long bike ride I had taken before and put a note in my file that if I came back my next DOT physical would be free. I came back 5-1/2 months later and got my 2-year card.
Good way to fail your d.o.t physical

I guess some would say that I'm the lucky one...being 50 and a woman I can pee anytime or all the time. Works out great for DOT physicals or random drug test but when I'm trying to find somewhere to park at 0300 so that I can use the bathroom I don't really consider myself so lucky. Good with the bad I guess. LOL

This is really strange to me. I had some diabetic relatives let me use their meter quite a few times (lucky for me, cause those test strips are expensive and most diabetics i know wont let you go NEAR that meter...LOL).....Ate a ton of jelly beans all day, tested, 105. Woke up in the morning, 100. 100, 105, 100, 95, etc were every test. ONE was 150, but im told thats still considered fairly normal (strange to me since that was a day i ate LESS sugar, wtf)
......the DOT requirement is that you have to be under 200.
..so how the heck did you fail this? i dont get it.
I almost failed a blood pressure test for Covenant (has to be under 140/110 to work for them, iirc...) ....the girl checking it was extremely hot.....*blush* .... -

I'm surprised I don't see this more and I'm not a doctor so I'm not 100% sure but don't smoke before a physical. It raises your BP. Found that out during a physical I had a few years back for a concealed carry job I was applying for. Got bored in the waiting room let the nurse at the window know I was stepping out for a moment but that I would be right there. Sure enough half way done my smoke I see her waving to me. Go in get stuff done doc says "BP's high, have you recently had a cigarette?" yeah really that was the first thing he asked... I said yeah and he explained that it raises BP. anyway all was hunky dory, but I never smoke b4 a physical now. I'm not that much a slave to smokes I can't go a few hours without.
