I'm trying to keep abreast of changes in the fuel hauling business.

Does anybody know what happened to GoPetro? They seem to be out of busines, but they were the in-house fuel hauler for Energy Transfer / Sunoco / Stripes, back when Sunoco and Stripes were all part of Energy Transfer.

And does anybody know anything about SWTO? They're supposed to be the in-house carrier for 7-Eleven / Speedway.

I know that parts of speedway in are area are contracted with marathon ( cause thats where i get fuel for most of the speedways around here. ( abq) . I know alon still sells it own gas to 7-11 , but who carries it now around here , i don't know .
Used to be SW , but another outfit took it over a few years ago .

    Ok, thanks!

Since hauling fuel is of course inherently dangerous work:
    • How many weeks was your training?
    • Are you satisfied with the level/quality of your training? If not -- please specify where/how they fell short.
    • Are you satisfied with the level/quality of your equipment (trucks, trailers, hoses, valves, etc) -- & their upkeep? If not -- why not?
    • How well do the Speedway stores you service maintain their in-ground tanks & related venting? Are they maintained on a professional level -- or not? If not -- what are the problems? Are the store in-ground tanks (mostly) located remotely away from each store's fuel pumps -- or (instead) fairly close?
    -----
    • Are you paid by the hour -- or by the load? What is your overtime pay (if any)?
    • What is your shift (nights, or days)? Were you given any choice of shifts -- or were you given what was available? What days of the week are you off duty?
    • How much vacation do you get -- first year?
    • For the market that you are working -- are you satisfied with your pay, so far? Are you on track (thus far) to break six figures (or not)? In some markets -- you most definitely should be....o_O
    • When you go to the fuel racks to fill your trailer -- do you incur fuel allocation issues -- or is correct fuel allocation fairly straightforward, & quick? Does Speedway supply its own fuel (like Pilot & Loves) -- or does it instead get fuel from other suppliers?
    • From your experiences there, thus far -- can you genuinely recommend this fleet to other hazmat tanker drivers? If not -- why not?
    • Would you say that your management & safety depts there are generally reasonable with their authority -- or are they instead abusive &/or overbearing?
Thanks in advance for your responses & info!!! :occasion5: :salute: :-D

I'm considering applying to SWTO for their Lubbock yard, so I'll take any information you can give me, especially regarding their pay program and their benefits. I'm also curious if they plan on expanding into South Texas, specifically San Antonio and Corpus Christi.

    Thank you in advance.
