I find it hard to believe anyone at Gordon is making 200-300/day on a 8-10 hr shift, with 6 months experience.
He would only know a fraction of the customers and how to actually get the truck into the delivery area of a strip mall or "mom and pop" store for their weekly/daily supply of product. It takes a long time for guys to gain the knowledge of "who, what, where and when" to make deliveries efficiently with this company.
Thus the reason why they are constantly hiring drivers. Knowing how they pay and operate I would be willing to guess that there are more than a couple of drivers a week that return to the yard and quit on the spot.
Back breaking work for peanuts(percentage). -
There are enough flatbed(there are other driving positions as well other than flatbed that Gordon cannot seem to lure drivers from) operations out there that run daycabs.
No need to be "over the road"...........you can sleep in your own bed everynight. -
Food service is back busting work, not what most people want for the pay.

All depends on where you call home . It is back breaking work for sure . A young mans game. Not for everyone.aiwiron Thanks this.
