I may be a wuss, but I really try to do 199 at night. There are a couple of corners there where you really need a little bit of the other lane, even if it is harder to see the elk at night.
You may know- How often is the s/b scale @ Trinidad open? There are times when I would really like to sleep at the rest area just before it, but I'm afraid of having them open when I wake up & being stuck there.
How does it feel to be in a job/area almost totally supported by commercial marijuana cultivation? -
I've seen that scale open in the middle of the day once. never seen it open in the morning or evening but I'll ask around.
I like to take the 199, 299, and the 20 at night personally, its just easier and less stressful. So if your a wuss than so am I..lol
I don't mind the marijuana thing at all, I'm under the belief that it could help this country get out of debt and boost the economy everywhere, not to mention the things you can make out of it: paper, clothing, medicine, etc. Hell I even read about a house being built in Scotland made out of hemp. And it produces quite a bit of oxygen. And especially up there I think everyone drives around stoned anyway, I don't think that would change. -
getting a load of beer bottles tomorrow for lost coast.
I officially am moving up there on the 30th. Got a house that the wife and I really don't like but its month to month, and it gets up there so we can find something better later. -

Started working for Mike Lowrie just over a month ago. Been running like crazy all over the west. Up in Aurora, OR right now waiting to deliver in Wilsonville in the AM
LostOne9 Thanks this. -
I'm in Medford, headed to Kent, then to Raymond for my load home. Depending on my HOS I might be doing the 199 boogie Friday night.LostOne9 Thanks this. -
From what Ive been told that Trinidad scale is only open a few times a month, usually when he gets bored.

so I'm moving up there tomorrow and they are trying to get me to take a load after I get up there... I'm sorry but I don't think its going to happen. Moving a three bedroom house, unloading a uhaul with a 12 year old girl and the wife, and then going to work I don't think so. Especially when they already gave me the day off.
