I'd stick it out for more time... then talk to other drivers... whenever possible. You still NEED to find out what and who to drive for, and what you like to haul. Working 6 months doesn't give you enough time to figure it out. You would likely just sign up with another mega carrier and not make any coin anyway. Here's the deal, the job you want to have that pays well... doesn't advertise that they are hiring! Period. Why? They don't have to, they get referrals of quality drivers and get to pick from a pool of quality veterans... Many of which all know each other... and even the other carriers that are also of high quality. For Example: I haul fuel, and I'm employed by a small quality carrier... I've done it long enough that if something happened and I lost my job... I'm fairly confident that I could have another job, with another quality small fuel carrier with a few phone calls and be in a truck either that day or early the next morning. Why? I have the experience and know personally some of the other carriers... but it takes time. Think of it this way... Your still learning the job... your in school, but are making a little money while you learn. Give it 2 years, network while doing so, then... move on to the MUCH better job. It WILL work. Best of luck!

6 months exp is really not enough time. You need 2-3 years to make yourself marketable to the better employers. You also need to give some serious thought about who you want to drive for, and whether or not you want to stay OTR. Job hopping doesn't look good on anyones resume, and job hoppers usually end up on a prospective employers hall of shame.
