LOL honestly the Pathfinder is the problem. 276HP and geared like a race car! They are stupid quick fast for as big and heavy as they are. I was shocked when I first test drove it.

Not sure if it's been said or not (only read the 1st page), but it really doesn't matter when you physically turn the inspection report in to the company because they likely already know about it. It's all online these days, and if your safety guy logs in and checks the FMCSA site daily, he saw it the next day.

"UP TO" a $2750 fine. States can set the fine lower if they choose. They just cannot fine you more.

This is where you have to be a lawyer. Never answer, just keep asking him why he thinks that. He could just be fishing. Don't help cut your throat. Find a lawyer that specializes in this type of thing and is in court a lot. Worth whatever you have to pay him versus losing your chance to drive and make money.

I'm not trying to be funny or dense here. However the best policy is to speak as little as possible in these situations. Don't engage the cop just give the cop the information asked for and stay quiet. I have friends that are cops. Everyone of them laugh and go on about how someone hung themselves by developing diarrhea of the mouth. MOUTH <<<< Is your WORSE enemy in almost every situation during a roadside stop.
