And that why I prefer night driving. Not that I ever do anything stupid like holding the phone to my ear but changing a song, yep occasionally.
I do have it mounted though.
Best of luck to the OP
Got a cell phone citation and level 3 inspection.

Ok my advice. If you don’t fight it you know the pts and fine already. If you do fight it then the worst case scenario is the same pts and fine.

Actually over time I suspect the penalties for (distracted driving) using a cell phone are going to become severe for everybody. I no longer drive but friends take me places and a lot of those places involve I 64 going back and forth between Williamsburg and Norfolk in Virginia. Almost every trip I see countless examples of people talking and texting. I have said this in these forums before. I had rather take my chances with somebody smoking bong or being drunk then have to deal with 30% or more of the drivers on the road using cell phones.

I have a friend that got caught by state trooper looking at google maps on his phone in MN. He had a mandatory court date in Hennepin county. Since it was a missdemenour offense he didn't go to traffic court. When he showed up for court the prosecuting attorney had his hands full with drug cases and such. One guy got tackled by the court ballifs outside of the court room. When it was my buddys turn the prosecutor asked if he was pleading not guilty. He said no he was planning on pleading guilty. The prosecutor said I got a deal for you. I'll ask for a 50 dollar fine plus court cost and reduce it to a petty misdemeanor. Buddy pled guilty an paid the fine. If your gonna get busted do it somewhere where the courts are backed up and the prosicutor is glad to just get one off of his plate.

If you pay that ticket rather than fighting it, you will have wiped 70% of your options for finding a new company off the table for at least 3 years. It’s that serious.
