He has to say everyone. It makes his illegal activity ok in his mind if he can blame it on everyone instead of the person that actually is at fault, namely the person who parks illegally.TurkeyCreekJackJohnson, dunchues, flood and 1 other person Thank this.

Wow.just wow. I don't miss trucking.
86scotty, Snow Hater and Oxbow Thank this. -
No I won't stop saying that. It's my own take to the situation. Yall see it differently. Fine. I'd be pretty naive to think that every single driver hasn't hit anything or parked illegally. Some get caught, some don't. I just don't get the crucifixion of people that some of y'all do when others foul up. You guys crucify people like you never foul up. All OP can do is chalk it to the game and I'm sure he'll do better.Lite bug, mjd4277, navypoppop and 1 other person Thank this.

The last couple years of running a legal log I haven’t parked anywhere I’m not supposed to be. I reserve spots a fair amount of the time, but when things go sideways during the day I’m also not afraid to stop early and figure the rest out later.
All the rest of my years before that I’d stop on ramps or park along a driveway or whatever because I was only napping for 3-4 hours at the most and in my head that justified my parking spot. Even if a place had some open spots I’d still make my own spot because I wasn’t going to be there long, just grab a shower and lay down for a couple hours before taking off again. And in my mind I was leaving those spots open for someone that would come in for their full 10.
The closest I came to getting a ticket was outside of Shreveport hauling cattle out of Florida. It was when you still had to cut thru town to go north on I-49 and I pulled over on the ramp to get onto 49 for a quick nap and right when my alarm was going off I saw lights flashing behind me. So I got up and was acting like I was making a sandwich and he told me to get going when I was done eating.Lite bug, Tall Mike, Snow Hater and 2 others Thank this. -
Speak for yourself, I've only been driving for 15 years, but I've never parked illegally yet. I sometimes have to quit earlier than I want, or drive further than I want, but always park legally.TurkeyCreekJackJohnson, LOTSO, navypoppop and 2 others Thank this.

It sucks, but unfortunately its the nature of the beast. Some cops enforce the no parking areas, some dont. You have to roll the chicken bones. Lack of parking dont help. However, you have to try to plan for that crap and safe places to shut down for the nightTurkeyCreekJackJohnson, navypoppop and flood Thank this.

I got that ticket as well.. and you're right about the self-righteous ######## on this forum.
No other rest area tickets like this and it's not on the shoulders of the off-ramp or on-ramp, it's inside the truck stop along the curb behind the parking that blocks literally nothing whatsoever.. it's the worst cash grab I've ever seen. They put a couple no parking signs for the sole intention of giving tickets not because there should not be parking thereGearjammin' Penguin, tiddlytanker and 86scotty Thank this. -
Trip plan a little better… Sometimes you have to adjust where & when you’re gonna stop at due to circumstances that arise during the dayTurkeyCreekJackJohnson, Tall Mike, navypoppop and 1 other person Thank this.
