The cops are always working 465,
    24 hours a day.
    In marked and unmarked cars.

I hope he got some more trucks too.
You got all the bad violations.
Not knowing where your registration and
    Insurance is totally unacceptable.
That just shows you don't give a dam.

Your gonna have to pay somebody to
    Get out of this one.
If your a owner operator, you still have a job.
If your a company driver, have fun
Trying to explain this to the safety department.

    EuropeanTrucker and bryan21384 Thank this.

    It's not.
    I update mine every January.
I feel those types of citations are a money grab.
All the paperwork can be easily accessed online.
Give a driver a verbal warning, maybe, but a ticket.

The government agencies expect me to do business via the internet. Restricted access to their actual office, some are closed completely to personal visit.
    I expect the same.

Isn't that what they do at the weight stations?
Check us out via the internet?

    Join the internet age.

God prefers Diesels and Coffey Thank this.

We are actually going about this wrong
We need to encourage others to run like a mad man

The more tickets they receive will eventually discourage them from driving or be forced out

    That’s a good thing
Less careless drivers on the roads help keep scratches off my truck and less traffic

Of course, it's all about the money. It's been that way since Moses was a pup! The bottom line is the driver is responsible for having all their legals in order, all current and up to date before pulling out on the road. As to databases I have seen the CF having an outage can cause. Even non-CMVs have to keep registrations and proof of insurance in the vehicle. Many years ago Georgia went to a system where an officer as soon as they ran a tag knew if there was insurance on the vehicle, still Georgia required the paperwork to be in the vehicle. Things like IFTA, Single State IRP, and Alcohol permits are a hodgepodge of State and Federal requirements. I don't even want to start to think about the headache having these things only in a database would cause once something went wrong, and god knows all it takes is a keypunch error to shut down an entire fleet, No, thank you it's best right now to keep the paperwork in the permit books and in the trucks. It worked for my father and the generation before him, it also worked for me and it sure as heck will work for you, internet age be (redacted)!
