    Do these max overhang [percentage] rules apply to ALL roads in Maryland? Even Interstates and other STAA routes?

    Oh, you were on the Eastern Shore. It was most likely a MD State Trooper then. My advice is go to court and hope he doesn't show up. I must warn you though, the state boys get paid to go to court so the odds of him showing up are pretty good. They still may reduce the fine though. It's worth a shot if you aren't going to lose revenue in exchange. Sometimes it's just easier and more profitable to take it on the chin and chalk it up to a lesson learned.

    Yes, and as mentioned in the manual 53' trailers regardless of axle setback are limited to 1 or 1/2 mile off the shortest direct route for repairs, fuel etc. I despise 53' trailers around here. It's an easy money grab for them when they go after it.
