Well run a few loads and get the tires, hopefully they wont pull you again until after you get them fixed. Besides, every state I have ever been inspected in gives you 15 days to correct the problem. So, work your as* off for the next two weeks and then put three tires on!! I see alot of people that give up way too easy, no reason to give up so quick.
Got DOT inspected twice in one day. Have some concerns.

Be proactive about maintenance, do what you can do when you can do it. This weekend I changed my air compressor out, it worked just fine, but it leaked oil. I also changed my damper out, again it was working fine but it has been 700,000 miles since last changed, it idles and runs a little smoother. When ever I got a little money sitting around I do something to the truck. Becasue of this my CSA record is Good, now dont get me wrong I might get inspected Monday and they find something the matter but I try to keep my truck up, not jsut give up.

yep, when measured at any point on a major tread groove.

Actually not, any violation has to be quantifiable according to the regs. If one believes it's not, they have options.

It's just so frustrating. First, two inspection in one day, then the injector the same day, DOT audit on Tuesday. Very stressful especially when you have 4 kids, a wife and a mortgage. I'm not going to give up, just feels like I can never get ahead of the game. 3 steps forward, 2.5 steps back. Every time I seem to get some money put aside something happens and I have to use all of my back up money. Very frustrating.

But just think, if you go ahead 3 steps, and back 2.5, you are still 1/2 a step ahead of where you had been. !/2 a step is better than no step. Hang in there, it will get better.

You have no idea how much I can relate to you right now, though without the O/O part of it. It will get better....I have to cling to that as well, because yesterday I hit the bottom.....

I know where you're coming from. When i bought my Ex Schnider National Tractor, it came with cheap worn recaps and they were almost illegal. It lasted from Oct. 2012 to jan. 2013 until i bought used tires for $60.00 bucks i know the old ones were illegal that chunks of rubber were falling of from the recap. But again i only run Florida and go through secret back roads to my destination on the other side of the State. This business is a risk and when i bought this tractor, i had only two mortgage payments left in my bank and when i finally was getting the last thing i needed to start rolling this truck, the dmv office tells me that not only i need tags nad registration, but the financing company did not charge sales tax on that tractor and now instead of $700.00 for six month tag, i was looking with the sales tax at $2,300. So i did not feel secured in putting the two mortgage payments where there was no money next month and i had to ask my brother in law for $1600 and thats how i finally put this to roll. Now Schneider Salman told me, these trucks are out of service because we bought new trucks, other wise they would still be on the road and thats exactly what i needed. Had no money for repairs and this tractor has done nothing but roll pulling Containers and now i just own my brother in law $500 from the $1,600 loan and have $1,200 in my escrow account if i need anything for parts. This is a Business and if we dont take risk, we wont go anywhere! Two major Shipping line are now using Tampa and this year looks good keep on trucking!

I hear ya. Problem is, I don't have anyone to ask for a loan and now I have under $200 left. I was supposed to sign on with a local company pulling their trailers close to home. Now I have to put that on hold because I can't afford to go 2 weeks without getting paid. I have to put tires on a trailer that I was planning to sell. Just last month I put $3000 into the same trailer because it needed brakes. Not just brakes though, bearings, seals, drums, S cams, bushings, 2 air chambers and an ABS sensor. I see some of these trucks rolling down the road and think to myself "Wow!! How do these guys get away with running these things as they are falling apart, completely bald tires, bumpers hanging off of them, missing mud flaps, etc etc?". I just have a couple of tires with some very minor worn spots on them and I get shafted. Just doesn't seem fair. I guess it could be worse, but it sure sucks to know that every dollar I make for the next few weeks is already spent. I hate knowing that I don't have that cushion to fall back on if it's needed.

Not trying to dump on you by any means, but if your tires are cupped, you need to replace the shocks, have an axle alignment, and check the wheel bearings for looseness. This ticket cost you a lot in money and points. The repairs to keep you ftom getting these tickets would have been far less. If things are wearing uneven, find out why, and get it fixed. These days you can't get by with the stuff we did years ago. The CSA system and money hungry DOT will get you every time if you try to just get by.
