I just talked to a recruiter who didn't say anything about moving, but he did say you have to drive as a team for at least 8 weeks after training @ .44-.48 split on all miles.

Here's the reality of things, you should start at $50,000 and make about $60 to $70k a year (doesn't matter if it's local or otr). I will never ever drive a truck for less than $60,000

As others said, don't be lazy and settle for a bottom feeder. The sad reality of trucking however is most truckers are bottom of the barrel type people and would probably be working dead end Mcdonald jobs if they weren't trucking.

Don't sell yourself short, know what your value is. My first year I made $63,000 and that wasn't otr either.

I didn't know anyone at Luckey when I started there. They would hire new drivers after meeting them in person and conducting an interview. What possible quality can you expect from either a company or employee when someone is "hired" based upon an Internet application. A quality employee wants to know more about a company before starting with them and a good company will want to meet a potential employee before hiring them. There are companies that will hire new drivers, but it would require that people get off the couch and put down the computer to find them.
